Paleokastritsa

Paleokastritsa is located a little further north of the center of the island on the west coast and is about 10 km far from Govino bay.

It is not only of the most beautiful places of Corfu but also of the Ionian islands. Paleokastritsa has been called the jewel of Corfu, set on a number of bays separated by small promontories, and on the headland farthest out to the sea is the beautiful monastery, still working and occupied by monks, and containing the famous icon of the Virgin in its church.

Dassia

Dassia beach is one of the most organized beaches in Corfu. It is just 2 km from Govino bay and is easily accessible by bus.

Gouvia

In GOUVIA CORFU you will have the opportunity to admire the remains of a Venetian shipyard dating back to the 18th century. In this shipyard the ships of the Venetians were repaired and protected from possible storms or attacks. The building with its huge arches can be found in the harbor of the village beside the beach, as a reminder of those long-gone years of the Venetian rule.
