Gouvia Village

The village of Gouvia, just a short walk from the hotel has a large selection of taverns some of which with live music, restaurants of international and local cuisine, and bars and nightclubs. Be sure that Gouvia village in Corfu will cover up all kinds of nightlife and food tastes, since it is one of the major places for that in Corfu Island. Not far away, in the villages of Kontokali and Dasia, you will find beautiful beaches, all kinds of water sports and even more choices of entertainment.

Gouvia Marina

Gouvia village is also well known through, the Gouvia Marina, one of the largest privately owned marinas in Greece and it is only 1 mile from Govino Bay hotel. Gouvia marina operates all year around on 24-hour basis. It is fully organized and has a capacity of 1200 berths. At the Gouvia marina you can select a destination as a romantic getaway or a sightseeing adventure by day trips with boats or yachts.

The Croquet Club of Corfu

Right next to the restaurants, cafes and shops of the Gouvia marina you will find the cricket pitch of The Croquet Club of Corfu. Paleokastritsa is located a little further north of the center of the island on the west coast and is about 10 km far from Govino bay.

It is not only of the most beautiful places of Corfu but also of the Ionian islands. Paleokastritsa has been called the jewel of Corfu, set on a number of bays separated by small promontories, and on the headland farthest out to the sea is the beautiful monastery, still working and occupied by monks, and containing the famous icon of the Virgin in its church.


Dassia beach is one of the most organized beaches in Corfu. It is just 2 km from Govino bay and is easily accessible by bus.


In GOUVIA CORFU you will have the opportunity to admire the remains of a Venetian shipyard dating back to the 18th century. In this shipyard the ships of the Venetians were repaired and protected from possible storms or attacks. The building with its huge arches can be found in the harbor of the village beside the beach, as a reminder of those long-gone years of the Venetian rule.
